About the event
Fasting is essential for believers in the body of Christ. It is a spiritual journey that is taken to become more sensitive to the awareness of our growth and relationship with Christ Jesus. In addition, it is a time to seek the wisdom of God as it relates to deliverance, repentance, and humbleness and to express love and worship for God (e.g., see 1Samuel 7:6; 1 Samuel 31:13; 1 Kings 21:27-29; Matthew 4:1-11).
The essential supporting scripture for the Daniel / Mediterranean fast is “ I ate no choice food; no meat nor wine touch my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over” (Daniel 10:3 NIV). May God honor this fast for his glory and souls to come into the kingdom of God.
